01 / WIRED CONNECTIONS
One USB connection. Multiple serial ports.
Choose a port for each RS232 indicator. 4, 8 and 16-port options to compare.

4RS232 PORTS
4-port serial hub
StarTech.com · ICUSB2324I
Four RS232 connections through one USB port. Metal enclosure with wall and DIN-rail mounting; retains COM-port assignments.
Why use it with Jo-Weigh?
For two to four nearby indicators: give each one a separate COM port and assign it to its own Jo-Weigh scale entry on one Windows PC.
Eight independent serial COM ports in a metal enclosure, with FTDI electronics and wall / DIN mounting options.
Why use it with Jo-Weigh?
A lower-cost way to bring up to eight serial indicators into one Jo-Weigh workstation, with separate connections and records for each configured scale.
Eight RS232 ports with COM-port retention, a metal housing and included DIN-rail clips. A candidate for supplier-direct fulfillment.
Why use it with Jo-Weigh?
For a fixed production workstation: mount the hub near the indicators and retain COM assignments so Jo-Weigh entries can reconnect to their configured ports after a reboot.
Four DB9 RS232 ports with Sealevel SeaCOM drivers. An alternative for installations standardized on Sealevel hardware.
Why use it with Jo-Weigh?
An alternative four-scale connection path for sites already using Sealevel drivers or hardware. Each port feeds a separately configured Jo-Weigh scale entry.
Sixteen RS232 ports through USB in a rack-mountable chassis. Confirm power, cabling and driver setup for the full installation.
Why use it with Jo-Weigh?
For larger Jo-Weigh installations, including ten indicators with room to expand. Consolidate physical serial connections at one PC; confirm full-load operation on that PC.
Each indicator needs its own serial port and the correct cable pinout, baud rate and supported data format. A passive splitter cannot combine several scales into independent connections. Adding ports does not increase your Jo-Weigh software tier. These exact hub models have not yet been bench-tested with Jo-Weigh.
For ten indicators, compare one 16-port unit with an 8-port + 4-port combination. Verify both hubs together on the intended PC before deployment.
02 / IN DEVELOPMENT
A cleaner connection. Built around your scale.
Jo-Weigh Wi-Fi enclosure
Our Wi-Fi weighing enclosure is being developed for a supported load-cell setup using the Pico 2 W / HX711 prototype. The proposed Hammond 1554H2GY shell measures 180 × 120 × 60.5 mm (7.09 × 4.72 × 2.38 in), with a planned clear wiring zone. The Pico 2 W uses its built-in Wi-Fi antenna; reception must be tested beside the scale with the lid closed. Final fittings and assembly must pass a physical fit-check.
Why use it with Jo-Weigh?
Designed to bring a supported analog scale base into the program over local Wi-Fi, allowing weighing records at the PC without a USB data cable running back from the base. Power and calibration are still required.

Raspberry Pi 12.5W Micro USB Power Supply · SC0623 (US plug)
Proposed supply for the enclosure: regulated 5.1 V DC, up to 2.5 A, a 1.5 m captive Micro USB cable, and short-circuit / overcurrent protection. Verify the final USB inlet and assembled load before release.
Why use it with Jo-Weigh?
Keeps the Wi-Fi enclosure powered when its USB data cable is disconnected from the PC, so the base can send readings to Jo-Weigh over the local network. This adapter supplies power, not USB data.
One planned with every $249 enclosure. Proposed spare / replacement price: $19.95, plus shipping and tax.
Use either the PC USB connection or the wall adapter at the enclosure’s single USB input. No dual-power splitters. This is not a power supply for the multiport RS232 hubs.
We’re preparing website checkout and direct-to-customer delivery for selected serial hubs. Supplier accounts, shipping charges, availability and order tracking must be confirmed before ordering opens.
